Joining Abingdon UMC means becoming part of a caring community dedicated to following Jesus. When you’re ready, you’ll have a chance to meet with a pastor to talk about your faith journey and what membership involves. If you haven’t been baptized, baptism will be part of the process. After that, you’ll be welcomed into membership during a worship service, publicly committing to support the church through prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.
