Students

Abingdon Students

The main goal of the student ministry at Abingdon UMC is to encourage students, Kindergarten through 12th grade, to explore and grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

What to Expect

Through various, age specific activities, each student at AUMC is exposed to what it means to be a Christian at home, at school, in church and in their communities. With a support staff consisting of the Director of Student Ministries, AUMC's Program Director, the Senior Pastor and countless volunteers, both kids and youth at AUMC are given opportunities to learn how to become vital, active parts of their church family.

Sundays

Stay tuned for details on Children and Students Sunday School updates in the new year! On Wednesdays, the Kids participate in a small group lesson called Holy Moly, while the Youth gather together for HangTime.

Sunday Nights

Sunday nights at 4 p.m., the Youth meet for various small group lessons, community service projects or special outings. In addition weekly programming and small groups, the student ministry also offers opportunities throughout the year for students to participate in special events, trips, retreats, mission trips and much more.
